【#Tech24H】During the 2026 Guancha Conference, HachimoDock, an open-source AI hardware device incubated by the Innovative Product Team of Xiaomi’s Technical Committee, made its debut. It is a desktop AI device that users can freely modify according to their personal preferences. Its compact body integrates capabilities such as a personalized desktop pet, voice-controlled PC-side Agent, smart home linkage, and custom component creation. According to the introduction, the self-build cost of HachimoDock hardware is about 150 yuan. The team hopes to lower the threshold for experiencing AI hardware, making it the first AI hardware for the public to get started with Vibe Coding and experience the fun of using natural language to “create” an all-purpose desktop companion. Its functions go beyond this: users can say an idea and collaborate with AI to generate and run new components on the spot. Based on this open mechanism, it can be a microphone for quick voice input, a mini game console with 10,000 built-in games, a small radio for listening to FM stations, a desktop secondary screen for checking AI task progress and computer status, or a desktop control hub linked to smart home devices.
