【#Tech24H】On September 17, Huawei unveiled Peerium, a brandnew computing architecture for the AI era. According to Huawei, the Peerium computing architecture delivers strong scaling up to millions of processors, built upon nested parallelism, unified memory addressing and peer interconnect. Breaking through the Turing paradigm and von Neumann singlemachine architecture, it introduces Nested BSP (Nested Bulk Synchronous Parallel) and overturns the longstanding masterslave architecture. It enables millions of processors to function as one larger computer to meet the evergrowing demand for AI compute power.The Atlas 950 SuperPoD is the firstgeneration product built on the Peerium computing architecture. A 256,000card Atlas 950 SuperPoD cluster is already being deployed, and the NPObased Atlas 960 system is undergoing testing.
