【#Tech24H】On August 25 Beijing time, Apple released its nextgeneration M6 and M5 Ultra chips. M6, built on a 2nanometer process for the first time, targets daily office work, development, content creation, and ondevice AI tasks. The M5 Ultra, through a new quadchip packaging architecture, pushes Apple’s desktopclass chip performance, memory capacity, and ondevice AI capabilities to new heights. The two chips are respectively housed in the new Mac mini and Mac Studio. Apple stated that the M6 delivers higher singlethread performance, stronger graphics processing, and faster ondevice AI computation; the M5 Ultra, designed for workloads such as 3D rendering, professional video production, scientific computing, and running extremely large local AI models, becomes Apple’s most powerful Mseries chip to date.[ By Zhang Liyan | Tang Ruohan ]
