Beijing, April 29 (Youth.cn) - On April 28, 2025, in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, at the Bagua Nao Scenic Area in Xinping Village, Gaotian Town, Shicheng County, wind turbines spin harmoniously amidst rhododendron blooms, sea of clouds, and rolling peaks, creating a striking fusion of renewable energy and natural splendor. This captivating scene has drawn crowds of tourists to experience the region’s unique blend of ecological and technological beauty.
In recent years, Shicheng County has steadfastly embraced the philosophy that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets" (a national eco-development mantra). By leveraging its mountainous terrain, the county has advanced high-altitude wind power projects while enhancing rural tourism infrastructure, including roads, homestays, camping sites, and hiking trails. These efforts have transformed wind turbines, alpine meadows, and rhododendron fields into a cohesive "high-altitude wind power tourism belt" - a strategic initiative to drive integrated industrial development and achieve mutual benefits for ecological preservation and economic growth.
