Beijing, May 7 (Youth.cn) - Mangrove forest in Haikou becomes home for egrets. The nature reserve is located in Meilan district, Haikou city, Hainan Province. The 1771.08-hectares mangrove forest is China’s first mangrove nature reserve. Rivers, shrimp ponds, mangroves, mud flat and other ecological resources provide places for egrets to stay. Ecological protection efforts made progresses these years as new mangrove forest increases by 1600 mu and biodiversity grows. Photo/VCG
