【#Tech24H】According to CNBC, SpaceX recently announced a major investment plan to build a next-generation vertically integrated semiconductor manufacturing and advanced computing facility in Grimes County, Texas. The project has an initial investment of 55 billion, with total investment potentially reaching up to 119 billion upon full completion. It is reported that the project is the core of the “Terafab” wafer fab proposed by Elon Musk, aimed at providing chip support for cutting-edge fields such as aerospace, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The facility will focus on the R&D and production of advanced 2nm process chips, placing it at the global forefront of the industry. Once completed, it will meet an annual computing demand of one terawatt (TW), matching the computing power needs of the aerospace and AI sectors. [ By Zhang Liyan | Tang Ruohan ]
