ChatGPT Launches Age Detection System
OpenAI recently announced the official deployment of an “age prediction” feature in the consumer version of ChatGPT. By accurately identifying users under 18 and implementing targeted protective measures, it aims to build a robust barrier for the safe use of AI tools by teenagers. It is understood that this age prediction model does not solely rely on age information provided during user registration but enhances the accuracy of age determination by comprehensively analyzing multiple “behavioral and account-level signals”, such as account longevity, user activity patterns (e.g., frequent late-night usage), and long-term interaction habits.
