【#Tech24H】Intel has launched the world’s first 1.8nm process chip, the third-generation Core Ultra series processors. Manufactured using the Intel 18A process, these chips usher the AI PC into the angstrom era, delivering up to 180 TOPS of edge AI computing power. Compared to Intel 3, Intel 18A improves performance per watt by over 15% and increases transistor density by 30%. The third-generation Intel Core Ultra series demonstrates outstanding performance in large language model (LLM) acceleration, end-to-end video analysis, and vision-language-action (VLA) models, while also offering greater cost competitiveness in AI inference compared to traditional multi-chip CPU and GPU architectures. Notably, this AI PC chip also extends its capabilities to humanoid robots.
