【#Tech24H】On January 5, Nvidia released the Alpamayo series of open-source AI models, simulation tools, and datasets, aiming to accelerate the development of the next generation of safe, reasoning-based autonomous vehicles (AV). The Alpamayo series introduces a reasoning-based chain-of-thought visual-language-action (VLA) model, which incorporates human-like thinking into the decision-making process of autonomous vehicles. This provides AVs with reasoning capabilities, enabling them to contemplate rare scenarios, navigate safely in complex environments, and explain their driving decisions—this being a cornerstone for the development of safe and scalable autonomous driving.
