【#Tech24H】Jointly developed by the Inner Mongolia Grassland Technology Innovation Center and Northwest A&F University, China’s first long-endurance vertical takeoff and landing fixed-wing UAV, the XY-1, has completed validation tests in fields such as ecological restoration in Inner Mongolia’s “Three-North” region, agricultural disaster assessment, and smart grazing monitoring. The UAV achieves multiple breakthroughs in design, adopting a vertical takeoff and landing fixed-wing configuration that enables flexible operations without the need for a professional runway. It can withstand winds of up to level 6, offers an endurance range of 1 to 6 hours, and can cover up to 5,000 mu in a single mission, significantly enhancing the mobility and coverage of field operations. The entire process from data collection to report generation requires no manual intervention, improving monitoring efficiency by 5 to 8 times compared to traditional methods.
