【#Tech24H】Recently, FiberHome, in collaboration with Soochow University and the State Key Laboratory of Optical Fiber Communication Technology and Networks, achieved a significant breakthrough in ultra-long-distance optical transmission experiments. They successfully realized a net rate of 102.47 Tb/s over a transmission distance of 1,260.65 kilometers, setting a new global record for single-fiber, single-core capacity exceeding 100T in the extended C+L band. This experiment marks the first time globally that both the “100T capacity” and “1,200-kilometer distance” thresholds have been simultaneously surpassed, providing a solid technological foundation for China’s strategic projects such as “East Data West Computing” and AI computing power networks.
