【#Tech24H】On December 3, the Zhuque-3 Y1 carrier rocket was launched from the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone. It completed its mission as planned, with the rocket's second stage entering the predetermined orbit. The rocket uses liquid oxygen-methane propellant, with its first stage equipped with nine engines and featuring recovery capabilities in the designated flight area. Its technical approach shares similarities with the Falcon 9. Although an anomaly occurred during the recovery phase, preventing a planned soft landing, the mission remains significant, marking a historic breakthrough for China’s commercial aerospace sector in large-scale liquid reusable rocket technology.
