The built-in Cycles engine has been optimized with features like adaptive subdivision and thin-film iridescence, while improvements have been made to animation and VR functionalities. Blender 5.0 also includes several optimizations to the user interface, enhancing readability and operational convenience. In the default layout, the original timeline view has been replaced by the more powerful Dope Sheet, making animation and keyframe management more intuitive.
