【#Tech24H】A minimalist turbojet engine independently developed by Aero Engine Corporation of China, utilizing 3D printing technology, has successfully completed its first single-engine flight test. This achievement marks a significant breakthrough in the engineering application of 3D-printed engines. The flight test lasted 30 minutes and reached an altitude of 6,000 meters.
Over three-quarters of the engine's components, by weight, were manufactured using 3D printing. This approach significantly reduced the number of parts, achieving the design goals of lightweight construction and high performance. It lays a solid foundation for future flights at higher altitudes and speeds.
