【#Tech24H】Recently, China achieved a major breakthrough in underground engineering equipment: the "Mozi" double-shield hard rock Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), destined for the underground project of the Shandong Zaozhuang Shanting Pumped Storage Power Station, was launched in Changshu, Jiangsu. Independently developed by CCCC Tianghe Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the "Mozi" achieves a minimum turning radius of 50 meters, breaking the traditional TBM limitation of a 100-meter turning radius and pushing the technical limits of 6-meter-class underground boring equipment. This provides a more flexible and efficient development path for deep underground development and application.
