In 1995, the Fourth World Conference on Women was held in Beijing, which adopted the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action, marking a milestone in the global advancement of women's causes. To reaffirm the spirit of the Beijing Conference, accelerate the implementation of the Declaration and the Platform, inject new momentum into global gender equality and women's all-round development, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, China, in collaboration with UN Women, is hosting the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women in Beijing from October 13 to 14.
