【Tech 24H】Through meticulous reconstruction and analysis of an ancient skull fossil dating back approximately 1 million years, Chinese scientists have confirmed that Denisovans belong to the Homo longi branch. This discovery not only updates the human evolutionary timeline but also, for the first time based on fossil evidence, significantly pushes back the divergence time of the three major branches—modern humans, Neanderthals, and Homo longi—far exceeding previous academic consensus.
