【Tech 24H】On September 17, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company achieved a major breakthrough in submarine communication technology: in collaboration with relevant units, the company successfully laid the world’s first 7-core fiber submarine trial optical cable between Guishan Island and Wailingding Island in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This establishes an ultra-high-capacity, long-distance submarine optical network, effectively resolving the scalability challenges of traditional submarine cables.
