Photo album "Guangzhou in Ruins (Canton in Trümmern)" unveiled
Amid the rubble of schools and hospitals, civilian casualties, and smoke-filled streets... the photo album "Guangzhou in Ruins (Canton in Trümmern)," documenting the devastating history of the Japanese bombing of Guangzhou over eighty years ago, has recently been unveiled for the first time.
Among the 365 photographs are elderly patients receiving treatment in hospitals, children who tragically lost their lives in the bombings, Tanka people (a traditionally boat-dwelling community) weeping in despair, and rescue personnel steadfastly carrying out their duties amidst the smoke of explosions.
