China's total number of World Heritage Irrigation Structures adds to 42
On the morning of September 10, the 2025 (12th batch) World Heritage Irrigation Structures were announced during the 76th International Executive Council meeting of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. China's Yunnan Honghe Hani Terraces, Jiangsu Jurong Chishan Lake Irrigation System, Sichuan Pengzhou Jianjiang Weir, and Beijing Mentougou Yongdinghe Ancient Canal Irrigation System were successfully included in the list. This brings China's total number of World Heritage Irrigation Structures to 42.
