【Tech 24H】On September 15, the Tianlong-3 large liquid-fueled rocket, independently developed by Beijing Tianbing Technology Co., Ltd., successfully completed a first-stage propulsion system test. As the first commercial rocket in China with the potential to achieve a low-Earth orbit payload capacity exceeding 20 tons, the Tianlong-3 measures 72 meters in length and weighs approximately 600 tons at launch. Its first stage is equipped with nine parallel "Tianhuo-12" engines, delivering an LEO payload capacity of 17 to 22 tons and a sun-synchronous orbit capacity of 10 to 17 tons. This test set a new thrust record for liquid rocket engines in China's commercial aerospace sector, marking a significant step toward the rocket's capability for batch launches of multiple satellites.
