Following its partnership with Uber (Uber Technologies,Inc), Baidu (Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.) has now secured another strategic collaboration with global ride-hailing leader Lyft. On August 4, Baidu officially announced that its autonomous driving platform Apollo Go will integrate with Lyft's network to offer robotaxi services across Europe. The alliance plans to deploy Apollo Go's sixth-generation autonomous vehicles in Germany and UK by 2026, with subsequent expansion to thousands of units continent-wide in European markets. The expansion marks China's first large-scale commercialization of self-driving technology.
