Beijing, April 8 (Youth.cn) - On April 7, 2025, in Chaozhou, Guangdong, Xu Mingtai (b.1998) unveils his latest Inlaid Porcelain masterpiece Bodhidharma in Meditation. As one of the district-level inheritor of Chaozhou’s Inlaid Porcelain, Xu represents a new generation bridging ancestral wisdom with contemporary aesthetics.

Having apprenticed under octogenarian master Lu Zhigao (national-level Inlaid Porcelain inheritor) since age 15, Xu’s decade-long journey saw him master the alchemy of transforming ceramic waste into luminous art. Photo/CFP
