
Beijing, March 17 (Youth.cn) - On the morning of March 16, 2025, the 2025 Nanchang Poyang Lake Half Marathon commenced with a ceremonial gunshot at White Crane Town in Liyuzhou, High-tech Zone, Nanchang. At 8:30 a.m., entrepreneur representatives fired the starting signal, and participants surged onto the track like a tidal wave. Bathed in the radiant spring sunshine, runners set off from Tianzi River Park, dashing along the vibrant shores of Poyang Lake.
The route offered picturesque scenery, allowing participants to immerse themselves in springtime vistas as they passed landmarks such as Liyuzhou Cultural Center, the Ten-Mile Camphor Forest, and the White Crane Conservation Area. The event attracted both elite athletes and marathon enthusiasts, some charging ahead while others maintained a steady pace, each showcasing their unique spirit. Cheers and encouragement echoed along the route as runners poured their energy into the race, experiencing the dynamic charm of Nanchang, the "Hero City."
With a total of 5,000 participants, including 3,000 half-marathon runners from 27 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China, the event also featured a special "Yingcai Run (Elite Run)" competition.
