Beijing, March 14 (Youth.cn) - An exhibition in National Natural History Museum is exhibiting stone tools and other exhibits in Nihewan Age. More than 200 stone tools, paleontological fossils, site scene restoration models and multi-media documents introduce vividly archaeology and paleontology knowledge, as well as research development and newest scientific result. The exhibition highlights rich cultural connotations and unique charm of archaeological ensemble of Nihewan region. Nihewan is located in Yangyuan County, Zhangjiakou city, Hebei Province. It is one of the earliest Old Stone Age site groups that have been discovered and explored by China and also a site group with the most dense distribution and longest duration in East Asia. It records the important history of earth evolution and the evolution of organisms, especially human beings, from the late Neogene to the Quaternary. Photo/CFP
