On September 20, two post-00 Chinese intangible cultural heritage magicians, Ren Jie and Zhang Xinyu, brought the stage illusion to the audience, kicking off the 2024 12th China Beijing International Magic Carnival and the World College Magic Exchange Conference.

Ren Jie and Zhang Xinyu are the fifth-generation inheritors of the national intangible cultural heritage Fu's Magic. Their master, Fu Yandong, hopes that his students stick to originality, reform the tradition and form a unique style. Now, Ren Jie and Zhang Xinyu are working on this, hoping to create their own show. "The charm of magic lies in promoting traditional culture," Ren Jie said. The addition of young blood will make traditional culture more dynamic. "We need to learn skills, integrate them, create new magic, and protect our cultural heritage."
