Beijing, September 26 (Youth.cn) - Photo taken in Badong County, Hubei Province on September 25th. Workers were tightening lines on Qingjiang Tower N3901 of the second provincial section in an 800 KV Uhvdc power transmission project from Ningxia to Hunan.
With total length of 1634 kilometers, the Uhvdc power transmission project passes through Ningxia, Gansu, Shaanxi, Chongqing, Hubei and Hunan. It is planned that the project will be put into use in 2025 with annual transmission power of over 36 billion kWh. Served as China's first power transmission channel based on green energy, it is also the first Uhvdc power transmission project that exploits desert photovoltaic base and transmits power mainly based on new energies.
