Beijing, September 11 (Youth.cn) - Rowing boats across a shallow-sea multi-dimensional aquaculture pool, breeding workers fed sea-ears with asparagus. The scene happened in Rongcheng, Shandong Province on September 10th morning.
Depending on science and technology, the local authority makes fully use of sea resource, prospers fishing industry by developing breeding skills. The ecological mode of shallow-sea multi-dimensional nutrition-supply aquaculture has been actively explored and applied. Breeding workers put marine organisms of different species in different depth of the pool. Kelp, seaweed and asparagus are in the upper layer. They absorb sunshine and nutrition to feed themselves with energy, in the same time, they produce oxygen through photosynthesis and improve water quality for the marine organisms in the two lower layers. The breeding equipment in the middle layer is attached with shellfish, like oyster and scallop. They eat hydroplankton in the water. Sea-ears and sea cucumbers stay in the lower layer and are fed with phycophyta. The reasonable arrangement makes fully use of the aquaculture pool and increases largely the marine output per unit area. The ecological system stay balanced thanks to the effective circulation. The sustainable utilization of sea resource reduces marine pollution and damage, drives the improvement and upgrade of the fishing industrial chain, prospers development of marine economy and increases fishers' incomes.
