Beijing, July 17 (Youth.cn) -On July 16th, 2023, in Yantai, Shandong Province, a high-speed comprehensive inspection train passed through Haiyang Station of the Laixi to Rongcheng section of Weifang-Rongcheng High-speed Railway.

Starting from July 15, 2023, the Weifang-Rongcheng High-Speed Railway has begun comprehensive testing and step-by-step acceleration trials from Laixi to Rongcheng section, making preparations for its official operation.

Laixi to Rongcheng section of Weifang-Rongcheng High-speed Railway is located in the southeast part of the Jiaodong Peninsula in Shandong Province. The line starts from Lai'xi in Qingdao and extends to Rongcheng in Weihai, with a total length of 193 kilometers. Designed for a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour, it serves as a connecting line for the coastal corridor of the national "Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals" high-speed railway network and is an important part of the Shandong "Four Horizontals, Six Verticals, and Three Loops" high-speed railway network.
