As post-95s and post-00s gradually become the major force in social intercourse, traditional social network products don't seem to satisfy their needs for more diversified and individualized platforms. Their pursuit of more fun and interactive way of socializing leaves huge potential for voice social network platforms.

Data suggest that by the end of 2018, China had a total of 425 million audio users, a year-on-year increase of 22 percent.

A batch of audio social network platforms have emerged. For example, NetEase Inc., a Chinese Internet company, has released a voice social software product called Sound Wave, which allows strangers to build or join multi-people voice rooms to socialize via voice chat.

Most of the existing voice social apps are mainly designed for strangers, enabling them to interact with each other in an anonymous manner and thus freeing them from the stress in socializing.

Compared with pictures and text, sound allows strangers to express their emotions, thus bringing them closer to each other in social interaction.

Besides, voice social apps make people feel more real in the process of interaction, which is somehow missing in traditional social platforms.
