An entrepreneur is to attempt China's first solo globe-circling flight.
Zhang Bo, a Chinese-American entrepreneur, will embark on the adventure alone from Beijing on August 7 in his own SOCATA TBM 700 light aircraft.
Details were given at a news conference in northwest China's Gansu Province on Sunday.
Zhang will fly approximately 40,000 kilometers by way of 20 countries, on a route which includes the first ever flight along the ancient Silk Road.
The entire trip is expected to take 58 days, with Zhang making 50 stops along the way.
Several media companies have reportedly already signed contracts with the entrepreneur to make documentaries and other television programs of his journey.
