【#Tech24H】According to TechCrunch, OpenAI is revamping the product structure of the ChatGPT desktop app, combining the "Chat" and "Work" tabs in the ChatGPT section into a unified experience. This change aims to fix the issue of excessive entry points and fragmented task workflows on desktop. The ChatGPT desktop app currently includes both ChatGPT and Codex. Within ChatGPT, there are separate "Chat" and "Work" tabs, which can easily confuse users about their context and project position when switching between tasks. OpenAI states that following the merge, users can carry out the full workflow from ideation to execution by ChatGPT on a single platform: they may import files and plugins, ask ChatGPT to build websites, create presentations or handle other web tasks, and keep reviewing and guiding its outputs. Codex will remain a standalone feature inside the ChatGPT desktop app.
