【#Tech24H】At 8:15 on November 3, the Lijian2 Y2 carrier rocket lifted off successfully from the Dongfeng Commercial Aerospace Innovation Test Zone, deploying 18 networking satellites of the Qianfan Polar Orbit Group 21 into their pre-designated orbits. This marks the first large-scale satellite internet constellation deployment mission for the Lijian2 rocket. Tailored to the demand for large-scale low-orbit satellite internet networking, the mission calls for not only the precise orbital insertion of the 18 satellites, but also validation of the rocket’s reliability and delivery capacity for commercial launch services. Yang Haoliang, chief commander and chief designer of the Lijian2 carrier rocket at CAS Space, noted that the maiden flight proved the rocket can fly, whereas the Y2 mission validates its capability for scaled launches and reliable deliveries.
