On Tuesday, Google DeepMind released its latest world model, Genie 4, as a research preview. The latest model generates the most realistic and interactive worlds to date, allowing users to enter prompts during simulation to change scenes. The model can also generate real-time audio matching the simulated world, including music, ambient sound, and interactive dialogue. Genie 4 is currently available to trusted testers as a research preview. In the coming weeks, the model will be opened to Google AI Ultra subscribers for use in Project Genie and to early-access partners of the Gemini API and Google AI Studio.
