Apple has released new products one after another this week. Ahead of the debut of a touchscreen MacBook Pro, it first introduced the M6-powered 24-inch iMac and 14-inch entry-level MacBook Pro. The two new machines will be available for preorder at 1:10 a.m. on October 29 and will officially ship on November 6. The new Macs have upgraded CPU, GPU, and on-device AI performance and support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Among them, the 14-inch MacBook Pro offers up to 24 hours of battery life, while the iMac continues its seven-color design. The simultaneous upgrade of the MacBook Pro and iMac to the M6 chip also means Apple is further extending on-device AI capabilities to Mac products in different form factors. With the addition of GPU neural network acceleration engines, dual 16-core Neural Engines, and higher memory bandwidth, the new-generation Macs not only improve traditional productivity and professional creation performance but also further strengthen the ability to run local large language models and AI applications.
