【#Tech24H】On October 26, Kimi pinned an apology letter in the comment section of its K3.1 Pro launch post, apologizing for “rate limiting and unnecessary quota consumption recently encountered by Kimi members using K3.1 Pro.” In the notice, Kimi admitted that the problem was its own and that it should have fixed it earlier. That day, Kimi reset quotas for all paying members: it granted compensation equal to 25% of the total monthly quota and cleared usage below 25% to zero. Kimi said this was equivalent to restoring about one week’s usage. In addition to restoring quotas, Kimi said it had adjusted subscription-plan parameters and was reducing unnecessary sub-agent calls and output length so that the same quota could complete more tasks. K3.1 Pro was launched in the early morning of October 24, with 3-trillion-parameter architecture, support for a 1-million-token context, and official claims of significant improvements in coding, 3D generation, and agent capabilities.[ By Zhang Liyan | Tang Ruohan ]
