【#Tech24H】At the Detao Science and Technology Park in Binhai New Town, Tong’an District, Xiamen, a space of over 2,000 square meters has been built into ten realworld training zones simulating supermarkets, homeliving scenarios, warehouses and other environments. Humanoid robots bend down to grab goods and place them onto shelves. A short distance away, wheelarm robots repeatedly practice folding cartons and tying shoelaces. These are not performance demos; the robots are attending “school”. This is Xiamen’s first heterogeneousrobot training ground, which entered trial operation in July this year. Led by Tuoyuan Intelligence (Xiamen) Technology Co., Ltd., it is jointly built by an “AI Innovation Consortium” backed by nationallevel laboratories and made up of toptier AI research institutions and leading robotics enterprises. Various types of robots, including humanoid, quadruped, wheelarm and industrial collaborative arms, have been deployed onsite. Training focuses on enabling them to precisely complete complex work tasks in realworld settings.
