【#Tech24H】The second World Humanoid Robot Games opened in Beijing on August 22, with over 2,000 humanoid robots competing across 30 athletic events and 21 scenario-based challenges over five days. At the opening ceremony, a 100meter preliminary heat immediately brought the arena to a fever pitch. A robot from the Tianzhuo team took the lead and clocked an impressive 9.39 seconds, surpassing the human world record of 9.58 seconds. In the standing highjump exhibition, a robot from the Tianxiao team cleared 2.88 metres, far exceeding the previous best of 0.95 metres. In the 400metre largegroup final, the top three all broke the 40second barrier, while the current human best stands at 43.03 seconds. In freestyle combat, a robot executed a whirlwind kick that demonstrated superb bodycontrol capabilities. In tennis, table tennis, and other events, robots faced off against human masters without a hint of panic. Their motor responses, joint torque, and motion algorithms were thoroughly validated. For the companies behind the scenes, every second and every centimetre on the track is an intuitive narrative of technological prowess.
