【#Tech24H】HONOR officially debuted the world’s first robot mobile device, the HONOR Robot Phone, on August 12. At its core sits an industry-first four-axis titanium alloy agile gimbal that grants the phone robotic articulation. Paired with the Agentic OS kernel, the handset introduces the pioneering system-native Agent framework, bringing transformative upgrades to smart human-machine interaction. Built into the phone’s chassis is a retractable rotating micro gimbal; its camera lens can auto-track targets and auto-compose frames independently. HONOR highlights drastically improved stabilization for handheld low-light photography, with color profiles co-calibrated in partnership with German cinematography specialist ARRI. Pricing tiers start at 9,999 yuan for the 12GB+512GB configuration, while the 16GB+1TB version retails for 12,999 yuan. Live demonstrations show the gimbal extending outward and rotating to follow users, sparking online comments that “the phone finally grew a neck.” This deeply integrated gimbal smartphone marks the debut of robotic hardware technology in mass-produced consumer cell phones.
