【#Tech 24H】Arctic sea ice plays a crucial role in climate and environmental regulation and has always been a key research focus for expeditions. Recently, the 16th Chinese Arctic Expedition team aboard the research vessel Snow Dragon completed its 12th ice station operation in the central Arctic region (83°50′N), marking the final ice station for the vessel during this expedition. The ice station operations carried out comprehensive multidisciplinary observations covering atmospheric boundary layer, sea ice physics, under-ice ecology, and under-ice oceanography, providing in-situ long-term observation and validation data for understanding the evolution of the atmosphere–sea ice–ocean coupling system against the backdrop of rapid Arctic sea ice change. The team also established an unattended observation network in the Arctic Ocean and conducted testing and operational deployment of domestically produced advanced ocean observation equipment. [ By Zhang Liyan ]
