【#Tech24H】Scientists have identified previously unobserved direct waves in the gravitational-wave data from a binary black hole merger event designated GW250114. This gravitational-wave signal carries the motion characteristics of the remnant black hole's event horizon itself, providing critical information for understanding the physical mechanisms behind the black hole's "point of no return." The discovery also establishes a new observational pathway into horizon physics, meaning that gravitational-wave astronomy has effectively placed its "stethoscope" against the black hole's most perilous boundary.
