Unitree Robotics announced that its H1 robot has broken the world record for humanoid robot sprinting speed in the 100-meter test. The video shows the H1 humanoid robot running rapidly on a track with a very high step frequency. According to the company, the H1 has a leg length of 0.8 meters and weighs about 62 kilograms. In this test, the robot achieved a measured peak speed of 10 m/s. Usain Bolt, the current men’s 100m world record holder, has a speed of 9.58 seconds (equivalent to 10.44 m/s), meaning the robot is approaching peak human performance.
