【#Tech24H】The latest data from the China Meteorological Administration shows that the meteorological department has built a modern agro-meteorological observation system consisting of 642 manual observation stations, 738 automatic observation stations, 15 specialized service centers, and 91 experimental stations. This network, built on an integrated “space-air-ground” monitoring model, is the largest agro-meteorological observation network in the world. China has become the only country with complete automated observation data on crop development stages, achieving core data accuracy of over 90%. The observation data is used not only for early warning but also for standardizing agricultural production practices, enabling a shift from “depending on the weather for a living” to “farming with knowledge of the weather”. At the same time, this “wisdom” is being transformed into productive capacity to combat natural disasters, providing precise decisiong support for agricultural and rural authorities.
