【#Tech24H】Tesla has announced that the third-generation Optimus will be released in the first quarter of this year. This version will feature significant upgrades over its 2.5 predecessor, including the latest hand design. Optimus Gen 3 is a highly capable general-purpose robot with a human-like appearance, a design that facilitates learning human working methods. It represents Tesla’s critical step toward large-scale deployment. In terms of mass production, Optimus Gen 3 is the first version designed for large-scale manufacturing. Preparations for the first production line, including supply chain arrangements, are proceeding steadily. The line is scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2026, with substantial production volumes expected by the end of this year. Due to its new supply chain system, Optimus's production ramp-up cycle will be significantly extended. The ultimate goal for this production line is an annual capacity of one million units.
