Single Chip Achieves High-Speed Wireless Brain-AI Connection

【#Tech24H】A joint research team from Columbia University, Stanford University, and the University of Pennsylvania has announced the successful development of a novel brain-computer interface called the cortical biomimetic interface system (BISC), which demonstrates transformative clinical potential. This brain-computer interface is a single-chip implant as thin and light as paper, operates at speeds far surpassing today's most advanced interfaces, and enables high-speed wireless connectivity between the brain and artificial intelligence (AI), offering new hope for treating a range of neurological disorders.
