【#Tech24H】Recently, the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) has made a significant breakthrough in the field of computational optical imaging. The team innovatively proposed an Optical Attention mechanism (OA), constructed a physical verification system, and successfully captured and reconstructed high-quality images with rich details, comparable to those produced by commercial complex lenses. This achievement experimentally demonstrates the immense potential of the Optical Attention mechanism. The research breaks through the theoretical framework of traditional optical design, significantly reducing the dependence of high-resolution imaging on complex optical systems. It holds broad application prospects in fields sensitive to size and weight, such as mobile phone cameras, medical endoscopes, and vehicle-mounted sensors.
