【#Tech24H】China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) has successfully completed the maiden flight of the AR-E800, the country's first independently developed heavy-duty electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft with an 800-kilogram class capacity. A key highlight of the AR-E800 is its rapidly detachable multi-functional cargo compartment, enabling the drone to flexibly switch between "internal cargo transport" and "external sling load" modes. With a maximum mission payload capacity of 300 kilograms, it can transport equipment to mountain base stations, perform engineering operations in complex terrains, and undertake tasks such as supplying scenic areas with materials and delivering emergency supplies.
