Transparent Biomimetic Jellyfish Robot Successfully Developed

【#Tech24H】Northwestern Polytechnical University recently developed a fully transparent, jellyfish-like biomimetic robot. With a diameter of only 120 mm and a weight of 56 grams, the robot is made of innovative hydrogel electrode materials and equipped with a self-developed electrostatic hydraulic muscle actuator. It accurately mimics the agile movement of jellyfish using vortex ring propulsion, enabling efficient and nearly silent operation underwater. The entire drive array consumes extremely low power, only 28.5 milliwatts, making long-term covert underwater operations possible.
