【Tech 24H】On August 21, Qualcomm officially launched the second-generation Snapdragon W5+ and second-generation Snapdragon W5 wearable platforms. Based on Skylo’s narrowband non-terrestrial network (NB-NTN) technology, these platforms are the world’s first to support NB-NTN satellite communication for wearables. Manufactured using a 4nm process, the new platforms offer up to a 50% improvement in GPS positioning accuracy, a 20% reduction in RF front-end size, and lower power consumption compared to their predecessors.
