On July 21st, the 2025 World Robot Conference (WRC) Tournament commenced in Hainan. Nearly 10,000 contestants competed across 19 categories including the VEX Series and Super AI Trajectory Challenge. The event debuted the "AI Unbounded" competition, requiring robots to complete complex tasks without preset instructions. The tournament is set to organize over 500 competitions across various levels globally, including more than 300 city qualifying matches, nearly 100 provincial qualifying matches, approximately 50 international championships, multiple domestic championships, and one grand finale. The tournament will cover participants of all age groups, with the annual number of competitors expected to exceed 350,000.
